Bitter-eupeptic (oleoresin).
Carminative (essential oil).
Antiseptic (essential oil).
Cholesterol lowering (oleoresin).
Antiulcer (essential oil).
Antiemetic (oleoresin).
Colagogo (oleoresin)
Anti-inflammatory (Oleoresin).
Spasmolytic (gingerol, sogaol).
Mild hypoglycaemic (oleoresin). Antitussive (oleoresin).
Expectorant (essential oil).
Sobering-rubefaciente in topical application (oleoresin).

APPLICATIONS OF GINGER

Hyperemesis gravidarum, vertigo and dizziness, coughs and colds with nasal congestion, pharyngitis, bronchitis. Anorexia, aerophagia, dyspepsia accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

Hyperlipidemias. Diabetes. Articular rheumatism, toothache (in topical therapy rhizome fresh and derivative).

THERAPEUTIC USE OF GINGER AND DOSE

Decoct 3%, boil for 5 minutes to infuse 15 minutes, 3 cups a day between meals.

Fluid extract (1g = L drops): X – XX drops / dose, 1 to 3 times a day

Dry extract (5:1): 200mg/day, split into 4 doses.

Essence: I-III drops, 1-3 times a day.

Powder: 2g/día spread over several shots.

TOXIC EFFECT OF GINGER

In normal doses it is not toxic.

COMMENTS: It is considered an aphrodisiac in the laboratory has shown that increasing the number and motility of sperm.
