Found that ginger is beneficial for reducing aggregation platlet which leads to coronary artery disease, while not affected in lipid and blood sugar. Healthy people, patients with CAD (coronary artery disease) and non insulin dependent sufferers were all Hindu subjects of an experiment, which found that a single dose of 10 grams of ginger powder, “platlet aggregation significantly reduced. ” in patients with C.A.D.

Rats have been clinically studied with the introduction of ginger after having their cholesterol levels artificially high. Researchers say “The inclusion of 1% cholesterol in the diet of rats significantly increased the serum cholesterol, but adding fresh ginger along with cholesterol significantly reduced this increase. Ginger was being antipercholesterolaemico” It was also reported that the ginger inhibited the biosynthesis of cholesterol in the liver of rats.

Ginger contains antioxidant chemicals commonly used antioxidants. “Ginger in numerous studies is qualified to hold a free radical inhibitor-index maybe much larger than the commercial antioxidant preservatives BHA and BHT.”

Found that ginger inhibits lipid peroxidation in liver microsomes of rats. In an American study 21 components (including the components related to ginger oil) were separated from the ginger. It found that “most of the isolated components showed that the antioxidant effect alphatocopherol (Vitamin E).

The antioxidant powers of ginger have been tested in applications where the ginger extract was added to meat products. “The antioxidant effect of ginger extract was studied in more fresh pork fillets, precooked and frozen. Life in hanger for all products determined by the TBA value was improved because the use of ginger extract.”

The ginger has been compared with standard drugs used in combat postoperative nausea and dizziness. Tests have shown the postoperative antiemetic requirement was lower in patients receiving ginger. Ginger is an effective and promising prophylactic antiemetic, which should be particularly useful in cases of surgery.

It has been reported that ginger was effective in reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting in a group of 60 women after major gynecological surgery. “There was statistically less momentous incidents of nausea in the group that received ginger compared to placebo.

The possibility of side effects such as gastric emptying after taking ginger as an antiemetic has been investigated. When 16 healthy volunteers were assigned 1 gram of ginger or placebo in a randomized double-blind crossover was found that consumption of ginger no vacuum effect gastric tube. It was reported that “the antiemetic effect of ginger is not associated with an effect on gastric emptying. No adverse effects were noted.

A Danish study has found that consumption of ginger significantly alleviates the pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and patients with muscular disorders.

In a study of 56 patients (28 rheumatoid, 18 osteo, 10 muscles) were studied for periods of 3 months to 2 years. Three quarters of the 46 patients with arthritis experienced “several levels, reduction in pain and swelling.” All patients with muscular discomfort experienced “pain relief.” During the tests, no patient reported any side effects consistent consumption of ginger. Other studies have produced similar results, where patients reported that ginger “produced better pain relief, swelling, and stretching that administration of anti-inflammatory drugs nonsteroidal.

The oils found in ginger have been identified as active compounds which are inhibitors of the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, which in a situation of oversupply would cause inflammation.

As Anti-Ulcer.

Ginger can not only relieve the symptoms of inflammation, it also protects the creation of digestive ulcers. Scshulick Paul says, “Any advantage of non-spherical anti-inflammatory drugs have on the strength of its anti-inflammatory effects or termoregulatorio, ginger makes up for with an absence of side effects and alternatives.

Extensive laboratory trials often involving use of rats, have enabled the identification of anti ulcer approximately 6 components contained in ginger.

Since ancient times, and in the V century, was used in the food of the sailors to prevent motion sickness at sea and scurvy. And in Indian medicine is used to treat muscular and rheumatic diseases.

Ginger is known to stimulate gastric juices, and provide relief effects for the flu and cough. This root is a medicinal herb used primarily for the treatment of dyspepsia (discomfort after eating). This includes symptoms of swelling, heartburn, flatulence and nausea.

Over 5000 years ginger was sounded as the “universal medicine” by the ancestors eastern China and India and highly sought after by spice traders.

Today, ginger remains a component of over 50% of traditional yerba medicines, and has been used for centenarians to treat nausea, indigestion, fever, infection, and to promote vitality and longevity.

It is asserted that ginger can save thousands of lives and billions of dollars in lost workdays. The world’s favorite species is reputed to have qualities that can prevent heart attacks, arthritis pain, intestinal pain, prevent flu, skin cancer, and helps weight loss.

The brew or tea fresh ginger root has been used in China and India for centuries as a Bajativos to help digestion. Ginger enzymes catalyze digestive proteins rapidly in the stomach so that leave little time for nausea. The effect is obvious to a normal flight of aircraft or land travel, or for children and pregnant women.

Researchers at the University dermatology at Case Western University found that ginger oil helps prevent skin cancer in preliminary studies. The researchers coated mice in ginger oil and then exposed them to chemicals that cause cancer. The ginger inhibited the growth of skin cancer in mice. Researchers will continue in this research which is of great interest to Queensland which is the skin cancer capital of the world.

Belief in the medicinal properties of ginger and Indian ancestors existed in Eastern cultures where ginger was used alone or in herbal remedies.

This practice continues today in many areas of the world, including Africa, Brazil, China, Fiji, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Sudan and Thailand. Ginger was introduced to Europe and other areas by explorers and traders Danish, Portuguese, Arabic and Spanish in the 13th and 14th centuries.

Ginger is native to eastern Asia. Indian and Chinese cultures have used for millennia as a soothing digestive. The Chinese consider ginger as the yang, or spicy food, which balances the yin cold food to create harmony.

The Greeks, Romans, also used for this purpose. Hit Europe and America when he established himself as a medicinal herb and became popular as a soft drink. (ginger ale, ginger beer and ginger tea) to relieve stomach.

Today, ginger is grown worldwide, it is cultivated in countries such as India, China, Japan, Indonesia, Caribbean Islands and Venezuela in several states, being in Guyana the site is given with good taste and size.

It is a plant native to tropical areas of Southeast Asia. The original name is a Sanskrit word sringavera (which means horn-shaped) which fell into Persian as dzungebir and in turn dziggibris Greek as in Latin became zingiber and now in Spanish and ginger.

China and India are the main producers, followed by northern Australia, Hawaii and the West Indies but cultivated in Jamaica ginger is considered the best quality has a warm aroma with a fresh wood note and a sweet background, with spicy flavor slightly bitter. We know that over 3,000 years, has been grown in tropical Asia.

The embassies of the Persian king Darius commercial (V century BC) brought this spice was widely used by Hindus. The first written data are collected by Confucius (551-479 BC) was brought to the Mediterranean, in the first century by the Phoenicians and was known in Egypt, Greece and Rome. In the second century, ginger is a ratio of imports made in Alexandria, from the Red Sea that were subject to customs duties by Rome.

After the pepper, ginger was the second species in order of preference by the Romans. Pliny makes mention of its price six pence a pound (about 4,600 pesetas to 300 grams) and mentioned his home somewhere in Somalia, southeastern Ethiopia or Egypt. In the Garden of Delights, Muslims just that, being dead, are not pure spirits, find ginger to honor the houris “A blend of fine wines and pure water is your drink Zangebir” Qur’an, Sura LXXVI-17.

Ginger came to France and Germany during the ninth century, and a little later, to England, where in the eleventh century was already well known. The Portuguese introduced it into Africa and took him to the Spanish West Indies although we know that Don Francisco de Mendoza, son of the Viceroy Don Antonio de Mendoza, planted in New Spain cloves, pepper and ginger latter being the best result gave bringing it to Spain, considering it good for stews and helpful for digestion.

In medieval European cuisine, ginger occupied a very important place in the whole spices used. In France its use was abundant relative to other countries, mainly because, in the French medieval cuisine, there was a greater taste for sour is reflected in the cookbooks. Henry VIII was very fond of ginger (and other properties is recognized as an aphrodisiac) and a recipe sent to the Mayor of London as a remedy against the plague.

The gingerbread recipe was initially a favorite of Queen Elizabeth I and her court, and ended up becoming popular among various social classes of England. Through the Arabs arrived in Europe on gingembrat or candied ginger, which was made and is still doing in Asian countries, exposing for sale in large porcelain jars, the ginger jars. As ginger in 1553 was still very expensive, Nostradamus used to produce this candy with the root of the dunes blue thistle (Eryngium) and perfumed with a piece of ginger, so was spared a lot.

A study says that the Noni fruit (juice) can reduce the debilitating effects of diabetes, strengthen defense and stimulates the immune system. Noni fruit contains an antioxidant that is necessary for people with diabetes to reduce the potential risk of any diabetic complications.

The complications of the disease, scopoletin Noni is important to avoid, because it has anti-platelet aggregation and dilation of blood vessels contract.

Since the first, a lot of garlic is used as medicine by experts in the world. Establishing a garlic consumption may prevent you from heart disease. Now, the team of researchers from the Cardiovascular Research Center at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine studied the efficacy of any successful garlic for heart disease.

In China and India, garlic is used as a drug to lower blood pressure. Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine also used to treat cancer of the cervix (cervical cancer). Louis Paster it as antibacterial and anti fungal, and Albert Schweitzer in Africa use it as a remedy dysentery.

“Garlic is the fresh containing hydrogen sulfide. Although this gas in excess amount can be toxic, but in small amounts function as intracellular protective material in the heart,” said K. prepacked Das, PhD, ScD.

Because hydrogen sulfide gas is very short lived, so he will be lost during processing, drying or cooking. Garlic does have antioxidant effects that can fight free radicals, but the effect will be lost along with these processes.

The study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry is studied two groups of rats used as experimental material and found significant differences between the mice who ate fresh garlic and dried.

“A heart attack is triggered due to low supply of oxygen to the body. Garlic fresh was better in reducing the damage caused by low oxygen supply than the dried onion,”.

“Fresh Garlic also produces cleaner blood in the blood vessels of the aorta,”.

If you want to have a healthy heart, it never hurts to try. According to David Winston herbalis and Merrily A. Kuhn, RN, PhD, from Herbal Therapy & Supplements, how to eat delicious fresh garlic is to cut one item, allow 10 minutes and mixed with yogurt, honey or other materials. If you’re worried about bad breath, try chewing parsley leaves to remove the smell.
