Natural healing
Today, in a very consumerist society, alienated and brickwork, where the asphalt is more prevalent than the grass, and gray colors are superimposed on the green of nature, it is worth taking a break and return to nature as that lost treasure that has always been there offering the benefits. Not for nothing is said that nature is infinitely wise and its advantages.
Plants can be used both in the living state (not torn from the ground) and dead (torn from the ground or cut the leaves or roots). Either way the benefits are innumerable.
In the case of live plants their main value is that oxygenate, filter and purify the air by reducing air pollution. Also regulate the humidity and, thus, avoid the problems created by dry environments such as dry mucous membranes, coughing and skin irritation. So now it is often found indoors, in turn acting as a decorative element.
Another benefit is that they can be good therapy for the spirit, as they provide psychological wellbeing. Hence the custom of giving flowers and plants, as it has been shown to influence physical and mental improvement of the individual.
However, the virtues of plants killed or uprooted from the land are in the healing powers they contain, both in themselves and through their active ingredients. These are known as medicinal plants and have been for thousands of years the main action to prevent disease. In fact, the first text written on this subject dates back to 3000 BC.
In conclusion, medicinal plants have been and remain an inexhaustible source of benefits for our physical and intellectual.
