Natural Remedies for Allergies

AllergyOne of the most common allergies is hay fever and affects people during the pollen season.

What happens is that the immune system can not recognize these harmless agents such as pollen and dust and exaggerated reacts by producing antibodies. Medicinal Plants for Asthma

LicoriceLicorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Contains a substance that has properties similar to those of cortisol, a glucocorticoid.

Besides acting as an anti-inflammatory licorice works as an expectorant which is beneficial in cases of asthma. You can use a licorice supplement containing glycyrrhizin. It should eat between 200 and 800 milligrams of the drug daily. Also get licorice tablets that contain no glycyrrhizin. However, these are not helpful for asthma.

Precautions Use of  licorice for six weeks and then discontinue use for two weeks. Eat foods high in potassium such as bananas or citrus juice during the time you use licorice. This is not possible to use a potassium supplement.

Do not use licorice if you have glaucoma or hypertension. Nor should it be used by those suffering from breast cancer or other estrogen-sensitive cancer, endometriosis or illness (or rather changes as it currently is not regarded as a disease) fibrocystic breast.
